Spurious, blurry images of what purported to be Colnago’s new Y1Rs aero bike are whirling about the internet, evidencing a futuristic design that features a radical seat tube/seat stay juncture, along with a Y-shape cockpit that’s certain to push the boundaries of the UCI’s frame regulations.
The images first surfaced on the cycling forum Weight Weenies, followed by an ambiguous post on Colnago’s Instagram that merely shows the silhouette of a handlebar along with the caption “Built to Defy Wind”.
Is it to be believed?
Who knows, time will tell. Meanwhile, one can only hope that the vaunted Italian brand would never deign to launch a bike this hideous.
