Lightweight has lifted the curtains on its latest gravel-specific wheelset called the Pfadfinder EVO, marking the German carbon wheel specialist’s first foray into the gravel grinder segment.
Based on the brand’s Wegweiser EVO wheelset, the new disc brake only Pfadfinder EVO features a 36mm profile rim that has an internal width of 18.2mm (24mm outer), along a pattern of 20 special high-modulus CFRP carbon fiber spokes for the front and rear, which can accommodate tires ranging from 23mm to 40mm.
Additionally, the Pfadfinder EVO is also equipped with Lightweight’s robust Pentagon Hub, as seen on its Meilenstein wheelset, which configured for SRAM 12-speed, tips the scales at 1430g (670g front/760g rear).
The wheelset is also compatible with Shimano and Campagnolo groupsets.
The Pfadfinder EVO will be available in standard and Schwarz ED. The latter is the premium option with black decals and lower friction Ceramic Speed hub bearings.
