LOOK has lifted the curtains on its latest gravel bike dubbed the G85 Cezal, boasting an all-new carbon frame and fork courtesy of the French brand’s 3D Wave System construction, claiming a 15% increase in compliance.
The G85 Cezal also gets completely revised geometry, relying on a slacker head tube angle of 70-degrees, a shorter wheelbase and a steeper seat tube angle of 74-degrees, as well as moderate stack and reach measurements, resulting in a bike that can tackle virtually any kind of gravel or bikepacking exploits.
“Designed for all terrains, the G85 Cezal is playful and comfortable, excelling on every surface. Its geometry strikes the perfect balance between efficiency and control for consistently confident performance. The carbon frame delivers power transfer when you keep the speed up and rolling efficiency to tackle the most demanding trails,” says LOOK.
Not surprisingly, clearance is also up, which, depending upon a 1x or 2x drivetrain, the G85 Cezal can accommodate tires up to 57mm, or 2.25″ 650b. Moreover, the new gravel grinder can also be fitted with a suspension fork with up to 60mm of travel.
Additionally, the G85 Cezal is available with a choice of two cockpits: LOOK’s LS3 stem combined with Deda’s Superzero Gravel bar, or its own one-piece Aero Carbon stem and bar, which both feature full internal cable routing.
Elsewhere, the G85 Cezal features an integrated down-tube storage compartment with an internal pouch, a future-proof UDH dropout, a T47 threaded bottom bracket, 160mm brake rotor compatibility front and rear and 12mm thru-axles with a 1.5 thread pitch.
The G85 Cezal is available in three guises, or as a frameset only for $2,500.00, with pricing starting at $4,200.00 to the top-tier variant at $7,500.00.
