MyWhoosh has launched its latest version 5.3 update, bringing with it an exciting set of new features and events, to make indoor cycling engaging, accessible and fun.
This update introduces arcade mode, expanded access for young riders through junior accounts, a new UCI virtual world. Along with the update, MyWhoosh is also rolling out its new missions – Chasing Rainbows, inspired by the upcoming 2025 UCI Road World Championships.
What’s New in MyWhoosh 5.3 Update
Arcade Mode – Zombie Escape
MyWhoosh begins its gamification journey with the introduction of arcade mode. The debut challenge, Zombie Escape, pits riders against virtual zombies in a survival race, offering a thrilling experience.
Riders must maintain a minimum speed to avoid being caught. They are given three strikes before they are eliminated, and points are awarded to riders based on the total distance covered. And these can be used to further unlock higher difficulty levels – 4800 points unlock medium mode and 7000 points unlock hard mode.
MyWhoosh Juniors
The platform now supports junior accounts for riders aged between 6 – 18, complete with in-built parental control. To ensure a safe, kid-friendly experience, all junior accounts require parental consent and come with restricted access to social features, including chat functionalities, in-app purchases, link app integration, VoD and live coaching. With this expansion, MyWhoosh aims to build a youth cycling community to encourage the next generation riders.
New UCI World
The update also introduces the stunning new UCI world inspired by African landscapes, featuring fictional routes. This new world will be available in specific events and will serve as the official route for the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships.
Aero Tuck Button
The new aero tuck feature adds a realistic and performance-enhancing touch to indoor riding. By activating the aero tuck button, the rider’s avatar enters a tucked position during descents, reducing drag and giving an aerodynamic advantage while they recover.
Additionally, to optimize performance, MyWhoosh now supports direct connect on trainers for all compatible trainers, offering a faster and stable connection. It also supports on-demand world downloads, allowing users to store only the maps they need to save storage space and reduce app load times.
September Missions: Chasing Rainbows
As the official partner of the 2025 UCI Road World Championships, MyWhoosh has launched Chasing Rainbows, a special three-stage mission inspired by the upcoming UCI Road World Championships in Kigali, Rwanda. The event features realistic simulations of official race routes and marks the debut of MyWhoosh’s dynamic route creation feature. In addition, riders will also get an exclusive preview of the 2025 UCI Cycling Esports World Championships course.
