Nimbl is debuting its latest gravel-specific cycling shoe dubbed the Urano, marking the boutique Italian brand’s first pair of off-road kicks.
“The Urano is our first performance-oriented and specifically designed for gravel. Its racing soul embodies the traditional values of the brand while paving a new path toward unexplored heights. Lightness and durability combined with the carbon monocoque sole enhance the connection between cyclist and bike, making the shoe fast on all terrains,” says Nimbl.
In keeping with all of its shoes, the Urano features Nimbl’s single-piece carbon sole for excellent power transfer, while retention is handled by dual Boa Li2 dials.
However, the shoe has been treated to an all-new microfiber upper that’s punctuated by copious amounts of ventilation for times when the mercury starts to spike.
Elsewhere, the Urano is fitted with mid-sized traction lugs along the upper toe box and longitudinal two sets of lugs that flank the cleats, as well as four molded lugs at the heel cup – totaling 12 individual lug contact points under the shoe.
All in, Nimbl says the Urano tips the scales at a feathery 508 grams for a pair.
