Parlee Unveils New Ouray “All-Road” Endurance Bike

Parlee has unveiled its latest Ouray, an all-road endurance bike that’s a virtual Swiss Army knife for those seeking a one-bike solution for both on and off-road exploits.

“Modern riders are seeking an experience and a bike that lets them explore their surroundings and themselves. To venture further, or ride faster. And to connect with friends over a shared passion. Our new Ouray is built for all of these things. Inspired by the town of Ouray, located deep in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado, where all roads deliver epic experiences. The Ouray is purpose-built for conquering climbs, ripping descents and exploring back roads,” says Parlee.

A true clean-sheet design

All-new from the ground up and handmade in the EU, the Ouray’s monocoque frame is made with a new precision layup process that creates a perfect frame, both functionally and aesthetically, wherein each unidirectional carbon fiber ply is meticulously placed, yielding a finished frame that requires no cosmetic layers, filler, bonding agents, or paint, resulting in such a clean aesthetic, so much so Parlee decided to give it a stunning nude finish, a first for the brand.

“This level of finish quality is extremely hard to do -it’s why almost no one else does it- so we’re proud to show our work by offering it with nothing more than a durable wax coating, allowing you (and your riding buddies) to admire the craftsmanship,” boasts the Parlee.

Light, but not lightweight

Parlee’s unique construction method delivers a true monocoque one-piece frame that’s incredibly lightweight, yet durable enough for real-world adventures via a layup process that gives engineers complete control over the ride quality, while the compact design delivers improved lateral and torsional stiffness for immediate power transfer.

Fully modern, and plays well with others

Additionally, clearance for wider 700×38 tires provides confidence on packed gravel and less-than-perfect asphalt, along with an updated geometry that delivers stable, predictable handling.

Additionally, the Ouray features modern touches like full internal routing to accommodate integrated cockpits and electronic shifting. Also, the minimalist front brake mounts combined with proven standards like a T47 threaded bottom bracket and a UDH derailleur hanger for easy component compatibility further add to the Ouray’s durability and ease of maintenance.

Built to order

“Every frame is made one at a time, in small batches, then individually built to order at our US headquarters. Also, our #Paintlab has set the standard for custom paint for many years. We offer our full scope of custom paint options on this bike as well. Our team can recreate anything from mild to wild to deliver a bike that is 100% unique to you,” explains Parlee.

The Ouray frameset starts at $5,299, with complete bikes offered in a full range of SRAM and Shimano groupset options, allowing customers to choose crank length, bar width, stem length, seatpost and saddle, while wheels, tires and other accessories can also be substituted so customers can get the exact build they want.
