Pirelli has expanded its range of dedicated road tires with the introduction of its new P7 Sport clincher, a tire “that’s aimed at those who ride for miles and are looking for robustness, grip and durability,” says the storied Italian brand.
However, while the P7 Sport is designed to meet the needs of the competitive cyclist, Pirelli is quick to point out that it also makes for the perfect training tire as well, offering excellent performance during all riding conditions where speed isn’t the only priority.
The P7 Sport features a solid 60 TPI nylon casing with an additional layer of cut-resistant fabric called TechBELT below the tread, providing superior puncture protection in a wide variety of conditions.
Additionally, the P7 Sport features Pirelli’s new PRO Compound, which guarantees the same excellent grip as the brand’s flagship P ZERO Race series, but with more sipes, thus limiting the “warm-up phase” of the tire even during cold weather riding conditions.
The new P7 Sport sells for $34.90, which is available in a range of sizes – 24mm, 26mm and 28mm, as well as 32mm for wider rims.
