Pirelli has launched its latest gravel-specific tire called the Cinturato Gravel RC, which borrows many of the same features as the Italian brand’s best-selling Scorpion XC RC competition MTB tire such as a new tread pattern that has a taller profile and more widely spaced knobs on the sidewalls, as well as lower profile, compact tread spacing along the center channel of the tire.
“Our Cinturato Gravel RC is a gravel-specific racing tire that’s derived for our biggest competitions around the world and feedback from our professional riders. The tread design is focussed on two key features: faster average speed along straight lines and improved lateral grip when corning,” says Pirelli.
As with the other Cinturato Gravel tires in the range, the new Cinturato Gravel RC features Pirelli’s SpeedGRIP compound, 60TPI nylon casing, along with the company’s TechWall technology – a protection “belt” that spans from bead to bead to help guard against cuts without compromising the tire’s rolling resistance and ride ability.
The new Cinturato Gravel RC tire is available in both traditional black, or a Classic version with para sidewalls for $84.90, in the following sizes:
