Polar Launches New H9 Heart Rate Sensor

Polar launched its newest heart rate sensor called the H9 today, which slots alongside the company’s H10 and the OH1+ models at a more affordable price of $59.95.

“Polar introduces its newest heart rate sensor featuring the most trusted and accurate heart rate technology on the market. Joining the professional-grade Polar H10 monitor and Polar OH1+ optical heart rate sensor, Polar H9 provides a feature-rich package combined with great performance and an affordable price, perfect for entry-level users,” says the Finnish brand.

Despite its reduction in price, the H9 still features Bluetooth, ANT+, and even 5kHz connectivity, making it an excellent companion for cycling computers, smartphones and virtual training platforms like Zwift and The Sufferfest.

Unfortunately for Strava users, the company’s app no longer syncs with heart rate straps.

Additionally, the H9 also features a new soft strap for a more comfortable fit, as well as an increased battery life of up to 400 hours thanks to the updated CR2025 watch battery. Moreover, the sensor is also waterproof to 30 meters.

The new H9 is available in two sizes XS-S and M-XXL.
