Q36.5 Partners with IRONMAN World Champion Casper Stornes on New Tri Skinsuit

Q36.5 has partnered with IRONMAN World Champion Casper Stornes to engineer a new Tri Skinsuit for 2026. 

Stornes, who made his name in the Norwegian short-course scene got his first big win in Bermuda in 2018. Since then, he’s moved steadily toward longer racing, picking up notable 70.3 victories and establishing himself as one of the strongest athletes in the Norwegian program. 2025 has been another breakthrough year, winning the IRONMAN World Championship in Nice on his first attempt, helped by one of the fastest marathon runs ever seen at the event. Stornes now sits firmly among the top long-course athletes in the world.

As he continues to pursue new goals in 2026, most notably including the Kona IRONMAN World Championship, Q36.5 will support him every step of the way with game-changing technical clothing. This will of course include their innovative trisuit, which has been adapted to the specific needs of Casper thanks to extensive wind tunnel testing at the Silverstone Sports Engineering Hub, validating every design choice under controlled conditions.

We 3D-mapped my body, analysed materials down to fibre level, and developed four prototype suits that we tested at Silverstone. Every single one of them was faster than my previous setup. Combine that aerodynamic gain with their thermoregulation and the speed at which the fabrics dry, and you get a suit that truly performs under pressure. Q36.5 isn’t making apparel, they’re engineering performance—and I’m genuinely excited to race in it,” adds Stornes.

Q36.5’s Tri Skinsuit is their most advanced racing suit, crafted with a combination of aerodynamic technologies and woven fabrics from our Dottore Clima line, designed to meet the specific needs of triathlon. The suit used by Stornes is the same base as the TRI Ryf suit inspired by 4x consecutive KONA winner Daniela Ryf.

• Each panel and seam has been specifically chosen and placed to provide maximum performance based on the needs of each section of the body.
• The back of the torso is made using our GYT (Graphene Yarn Technology), which integrates graphene into the yarn which helps dissipate excess heat to ensure a stable body temperature of 36.5°C.
• A fast-wicking ribbed fabric that helps reduce aerodynamic drag while offering great freedom of movement. The absence of shoulder or armpit seams prevents chafing, especially during the swim.
• The front torso panels are made of an extremely light and elastic material with special yarns developed to facilitate the dissipation of excess accumulated heat.
• The proprietary TRI chamois is made with a high-performance hydrophobic foam that prevents excessive water absorption and ensures quick drying. 
• The Tri Skinsuit uses a new proprietary high-density fabric that offers varying levels of graduated compression to stimulate blood flow.
