Q36.5 has unveiled its latest cycling shoe called the Unique, touting it as the first of its kind to incorporate body-mapping technology that “empowers human performance”.
“The idea of the UNIQUE was born in the heart of the Dolomites, developed by a network of specialists in the sports shoe field. Q36.5 worked with the most experienced Italian pattern makers and renowned partners like BOA to design a truly unique cycling shoe that compliments Q36.5’s image and our extreme vision of cycling,” says Q36.5 founder Luigi Bergamo.
The Unique comprises an innovative one-piece upper that envelopes the foot with a single-piece construction combined with a BOA twin-dial closure system, creating a sock-like fit that’s also highly breathable thanks to the upper’s proprietary fabric.
Other features that punctate the Unique are a specially developed footbed combined with a super stiff aerospace carbon outsole that utilizes what Q36.5 refers to as a “vertebral column”, which is designed to confer flexibility in key areas of the sole in order to increase blood flow, thereby reducing stress on the rider’s tendons and muscles, but with no loss of power transfer.
“Inside the upper we have devised a support system to maximize power transfer by wrapping the instep called Power Wrap Support. By surrounding the foot, a perfect ergonomic balance is achieved and ZERO watts are wasted during pedaling,” explains Bergamo.
The Unique is available in a range of sizes from 37 to 48 (half sizes in 39.5 to 45.5) in black, white and mango colors for € 420,00.
Additionally, for those who prefer the road less traveled, the Unique is also available in a gravel/adventure version.
