Rapha unveiled its new Pro Team Lightweight Wind Jacket this week, touting a warm, packable jacket that’s ideal for early morning starts or long mountain descents.
According to Rapha, the new 135g jacket was inspired by a similar model worn by Team Sky in 2015, which is designed to pick up where a vest is not substantial enough.
The front-facing panels are made from windproof material, along with a mesh collar and back panel to provide proper ventilation, rounded out by a full-length Vislon zipper and an elastic, gripper waistband.
The Pro Team Lightweight Wind Jacket sells for $175, and is available either online or through Rapha stores worldwide.

Race-ready wind protection
Don’t get caught out on brisk mornings or long descents with this stowable, lightweight wind jacket. Designed to allow you to work hard in the wind, a thin mesh fabric on the back allows heat out, then the jacket packs down to almost nothing for easy storage when not in use. At just 136g (medium size), it is more than 35g lighter than the Classic Wind Jacket. This garment is inspired by a jacket that Team Sky wore during races in 2015, filling the gap between a gilet and a thicker jacket. Made for racers, a Pro Team fit means the jacket won’t flap around. With a mesh collar inner for comfort, and several reflective elements throughout, this jacket offers engineered, elite racewear for a range of riding situations.
