Weave your way over the cobbles, climb the Flemish hills, with hundreds of thousands of cycling fans going crazy along the route… Not for nothing is this the cycling classic of cycling classics, the race whose winners become instant living legends… This is the Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders).

And the Ronde is taking place for the 100th time this year! You can take part in this historic cycling event!

VISIT FLANDERS is giving away a starting place for the Ronde Fan Ride. Would you like to be one of the 100 lucky winners who get to ride the final 100 kilometres just before the pros on the day of the race? And win a five-day tour of Flanders’ cycling country as well?

What do you have to do?

Just guess how many kilometres Johan Museeuw, ex-world champion and three times Ronde winner, rode on 29 December 2015. The ride of 4h20min05sec started in Bruges and ended in Oudenaarde. Check out Peloton Magazine on social media for regular tips about his route.

How do you enter?

You can take part by completing a sporting challenge yourself: jump on your bike and ride the exact distance you think Johan Museeuw rode.

The winner is the one who’s closest to Johan Museeuw’s distance!

You can enter as many times as you like.

Step by step:

  • Go to the registration page and enter.
  • Link your Strava account to your profile page. If you don’t have a Strava account, create one on
  • Complete one or more rides between 1 and 29 February 2016 and import them using Strava.
