ROUVY Acquires Competitor App FulGaz from The IRONMAN Group

ROUVY has announced the acquisition of fellow virtual cycling platform FulGaz from The IRONMAN Group.

Building on the significant growth of ROUVY in recent years, the strategic acquisition of FulGaz expands ROUVY’s global reach even further. ROUVY’s innovative use of AR technology and rapid growth of its community has established it as the leader in the realistic indoor cycling sector.

Athletes can now access the top 20 most popular FulGaz routes on ROUVY in addition to numerous courses from IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 races around the world, with more being added throughout the year

These routes will be added to the app using ROUVY’s innovative augmented reality Route Creator tool thus elevating the experience for all ROUVY and FulGaz users.

FulGaz users can continue to enjoy their platform as usual with further details shared in due course about additional developments to ROUVY.

In addition, ROUVY and IRONMAN, the global leader in long-distance triathlon, have announced a multi-year partnership, which will see ROUVY become the Official Digital Sports Platform of the global IRONMAN® and IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon Series.

The partnership with ROUVY amplifies IRONMAN’s ongoing commitment to elevating the athlete experience at every step in the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 journey. Riders will be able to test themselves on iconic IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 courses through the ROUVY platform, featuring cutting-edge augmented reality technology that allows users to ride and race with or against each other. Innovative features like realistic corner braking, marked aid stations, and real-time data analytics will help riders maximize their potential, prepare for race day, and provide an incredibly immersive indoor cycling experience.

Users will also have access to a suite of cycling workouts on featured courses specifically designed to support athletes training for an IRONMAN or IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon. Athletes will be able to track their progress with detailed analytics, including power, cadence, and heart rate thanks to seamless integrations with third-party platforms and smart trainers including TriDot (the Official Training Platform of IRONMAN), Strava, and Wahoo (an Official Technical Partner of IRONMAN).
