ROUVY Launches Virtual Campaign to Support Women Cyclists

ROUVY is launching a new campaign aimed at encouraging women to ride indoors called ROUVY for Women. The campaign runs from March 6-19 and is designed to inspire, motivate and empower women to experience the benefits of indoor cycling and reach their fitness goals.

Indoor cycling, whose popularity has increased dramatically in the last few years thanks to advances in technology, remains a male-dominated sport. ROUVY for Women is the company’s first initiative to close this gender gap.

A survey conducted by ROUVY revealed that 87% of women said their main reason for cycling was to stay fit and keep in shape. Bad weather was a key factor for choosing indoor cycling.

“Our goal is for indoor cycling to be enjoyed by everyone. We want to build an inclusive community for all, where women can feel confident about themselves and become more motivated. I believe these initiatives will create positive change and more opportunities for women who love cycling,” says Petr Samek, CEO of ROUVY.

The campaign will include women group rides, training plans, special festive rides across various time zones on International Women’s Day on March 8th, and a challenge across some of the most stunning scenery of Scandinavia ending at Haukland beach.

There will also be prizes, free trials and hand-picked routes to explore.

The campaign will be used as a springboard for regular future events to create an empowered women community on the platform: providing events, dialogue, content and involvement from women cyclists from around the world such as Malena Nowotarska and Tereza Hurikova.

“I use ROUVY because it helps me train for upcoming events and it does it in a fun way that keeps me motivated. Especially when the weather is bad outside, it’s a real lifesaver.
Women riders are unstoppable and I’m so happy ROUVY is taking this initiative,” says Malena Nowotarska, ROUVY ambassador.
