With the goal of bringing professional cycling closer to its users, ROUVY will continue its partnership with WorldTour teams Visma | Lease-a-Bike and Lidl-Trek for the next two years, offering extensive training and workouts, as well as community events and inspiration throughout the year.
Since launching these collaborations at the start of the 2024 season, with Lidl-Trek, and the 2025 season, with Visma | Lease-a-Bike, ROUVY has established a strong connection between its users and a group of the world’s best riders. Alongside this, the indoor cycling app has supported both teams with innovative training and race preparation tools.
ROUVY users have been able to ride, virtually, on real routes around the world alongside riders including Wout van Aert, Victor Campenaerts, Toms Skujiņš, Anna Henderson and more. These group rides regularly bring together thousands of registered cyclists all around the world to ride with the pros, showing the appetite for the virtual community connections with leaders of the sport.
“Our collaboration with both Lidl-Trek and Visma | Lease-a-Bike has proved to be hugely valuable to our community across multiple touchpoints, including group rides, workouts and pro rider inspiration – aligning with our mission of bringing pro cycling closer to our users. So, to extend these partnerships is an exciting step for both ROUVY and all of our community,” explained Petr Samek, CEO at ROUVY.
“Having thousands of riders join riders from these teams on our various ROUVY group rides is something we’ve been proud to bring to life, as well as supporting some of the world’s best riders with a unique training and reconnaissance tool for racing. We’re looking forward to continuing to innovate and inspire our community to keep going for the coming seasons.”
Both teams have and will continue to benefit from using ROUVY as part of their training and race preparation, thanks in part to the innovative ROUVY Route Creator, which allows users to record, upload, and personalize their own real routes to ride virtually whenever they like. Both teams have also benefited from the extensive library of race routes and iconic climbs often featured in races throughout the professional calendar, providing vital reconnaissance and a better understanding of what to expect on race day. This represents unique insights and experiences that only ROUVY can provide.
Head of Performance at Visma | Lease-a-Bike, Mathieu Heijboer is happy with the continuation of the collaboration: “ROUVY has proven to be a very useful addition to our training toolbox. It allows us to prepare in a highly specific and efficient way, especially when it comes to simulating race routes and key climbs. We’ve been very satisfied with how the platform supports our riders, so extending this partnership was a logical next step.”
Josu Larrazabal, Head of Performance at Lidl-Trek also shared their enthusiasm around the partnership extension and benefits for the team, commenting: “We’re always looking for ways to gain a performance edge across training and racing, something that ROUVY continues to provide all of our riders thanks to this technical collaboration. The additional ability to provide engaging experiences for our fans and community around the team makes it a valuable partner for the team and one we’re pleased to extend our working relationship with.”
This winter season saw ROUVY introduce its latest ROUVY Training Camp, bringing together a collection of workouts inspired by pro riders from both teams alongside the introduction of new routes from iconic training camp destinations around Europe, often frequented by both in preparation for the racing season.
This training camp runs through until the end of February, with additional routes being added from the beating heart of European cycling, Girona, with four new routes around the Girona and Costa Brava region.
