Santini is celebrating this year’s Critérium du Dauphiné with a special edition kit, paying homage to the legendary mountains of south-eastern France with a commemorative jersey and bibshorts, as well as other matching accessories.
As always, Critérium du Dauphiné serves as a prelude Tour de France, with riders demonstrating their climbing prowess in the quest for the maillot jaune.
The special edition kit features a stylized outline of the peaks and valleys of the Dauphiné’s mountainous landscape, punctuated by blue and yellow as a nod to leader’s jersey.
“The jersey is yellow with a blue stripe in the center, so we did the opposite with our kit which has a blue background with yellow details,” explains Santini’s creative director Fergus Niland.
Both the front and back of the classic cut short sleeve jersey are made from Race fabric, along with mesh sides and raw cut sleeves.
Additionally, the jersey and coordinating bibshorts also have reflective detailing to guarantee optimal visibility on the road, while the GITevo chamois pad is designed to absorb impacts.
For those looking to round out the look, the collection also comprises a vest, baselayer, cap, gloves and socks as well.
The Critérium du Dauphiné collection falls under the agreement reached between Santini and A.S.O. to further extend a partnership deal that includes the supply of the leader jerseys for both the Critérium du Dauphiné and Tour de France, as well as the capsule collections for all of the other races on the A.S.O.
