Sidi Debuts New Gravel Specific Cycling Shoe

Sidi has debuted its latest gravel specific cycling shoe aptly called the Gravel, which features the Italian brand’s Tecno-3 retention system and MTB Competition sole. Moreover, the sole accepts toe spikes, while a traditional two bolt cleat interface makes the shoe compatible with most SPD style pedals.

What really makes the new Gravel standout however, is the Politex Suede upper, which Sidi describes as, “constructed of several overlapping layers with different physical-mechanical properties, the compacted PVC is then coupled to two fabrics (knitted fabric + felt) that is then is film dyed for long-lasting color retention. Politex offers strong resistance to ripping, laceration, stretching and fading. Politex is made in strict compliance with European regulations and is a totally green product.”

In order to ensure proper ventilation, Sidi has added perforations throughout the inside of the shoe, while mesh has also been added in key areas for additional airflow.

Other features that highlight the Gravel are a shock absorbing heel cup, an external polyurethane shock absorber for added comfort around the ankle and an abrasion resistant toe cap for increased protection and durability.

The Gravel is available in dark green or brown, with sizes ranging from 38 to 48 and half sizes from 39.5-46.5 for $239.99.
