Developed alongside VISMA Lease-a-Bike’s pro mechanics, SILCA has launched its latest Hold Fast Carbon Paste, a dye-free carbon formula that’s designed to give the ultimate hold that won’t damage your components.
“Our Hold Fast Carbon Paste delivers superior grip and cleaner installs through a high-tack silicone formula—setting it apart from traditional carbon grip pastes that rely on dyed greases and low-density texture additives,” says SILCA.
“Originally developed at the request of pro mechanics from VISMA | Lease a Bike, Hold Fast was engineered to solve real-world frustrations: stained clothing, slick grease bases, and poor grip at low torque. It increases surface friction, allowing for lower clamping torque while reducing the risk of fatigue, slippage, or damage to carbon and alloy parts. While most carbon pastes rely on grease as a base, Hold Fast uses a clean, high-tack silicone carrier that stays in place, wipes clean, and is safe on carbon, titanium, aluminum, and painted finishes,” adds SILCA.
The new Hold Fast Carbon Paste sells for $20 for a 100cc (3.38-ounce or 95.82-gram) tube.
