Stan’s No Tubes Launches DART Tire Repair Tool

First unveiled during this year’s Eurobike show, Stan’s No Tubes has launched its DART (Dual Action Repair for Tubeless) tubeless tire repair kit that’s designed to work with the company’s sealant to fill punctures and create an airtight bond with the tire.

According to Stan’s No Tubes, the DART features a ‘Dual Action’ process that involves the use of both mechanical and chemical sealing properties, wherein a barbed tip made from a special material anchors into the tire and fills the puncture, while a safe compound reacts with Stan’s sealant to complete the job. Moreover, the DART’s ability to react with latex sealant makes it more effective than traditional tire plugs.

Additionally, the DART’s laser-cut material is flexible and able to contour to the shapes of different punctures in order to maximize surface area and increase the sealing action, leaving behind a plug that doesn’t require trimming once inserted – meaning the excess material won’t get in the way while riding.

Other features of the DART include a specially calibrated rod that’s designed to insert plugs to the correct length, while a lightweight, plastic handle ensures precise placement and a rapid deployment of the sealant.

The DART tool weighs just 15 grams, and comes with two loaded DARTS of sealant.

Refills cost $20.

The DART will be available for purchase starting in late October, which comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
