The Gocycle G4 Gets Lighter and Adds Updated Motor

Gocycle has put its range of G4 eBikes on a diet thanks to new lightweight materials, as well as the company’s updated motor G4drive electric motor, delivering more torque, power and improved low-speed start capability than its predecessor.

According to Gocycle, weight savings comes by way of a new carbon fiber mid-frame that’s mated to a hydroformed aluminum front-frame, along with the company’s patented magnesium Cleandrive drivetrain.

Even the disc rotors have been slimmed down, while a new single-sided carbon fork houses the drive unit, resulting in the flagship G4i+ model tipping the scales at an impressive 36 pounds (16.3kg).

Other features that highlight the bike include silica-infused MotoGP-inspired tires, a USB charging port that’s integrated into the handlebar and a fast-charging, removable battery that’s also integrated into the frame, providing range of up to 50 miles (80km) for the top-tier model.

The G4 range is priced from $3,999.00, which you can learn more about by visiting Gocycle’s website here.
