EYOB Metkel (Dimension Data) won the fifth stage of the Tour du Rwanda on Friday. The Eritrean rider used his powerful sprint to finish ahead of Patrick Byukusenge and Haylay Kbrom.
Race leader Valens Ndayisenga finished 46 seconds behind but kept the overall race lead.
Tomorrow’s penultimate stage is from Musanze to Kigali.
The peloton will a tackle a steep cobbled climb a few kilometers from the finish.
