Tubolito is now offering tire pressure monitoring to its range of lightweight tubes with the launch of its new Tubo-Road SYNCD system, which relies on an integrated battery-powered Bluetooth pressure sensor to deliver real-time tire pressure data to one’s smartphone or cycling computer.

The Tubo-Road SYNCD is compatible with all Tubolito inner tubes across tires ranging from 23-35mm, along with three valve lengths in 42mm, 60mm and 80mm.
“All Tubolitos are made from the high-tech plastic TPU. TPU has been used successfully in the industry for many years and is valued for its outstanding performance. The founders of Tubolito, Ákos Kertész and Christian Lembacher, have been working with TPU since before founding Tubolito and have built up extensive expertise over the years. The combination of TPU with a patented manufacturing process makes it possible for Tubolitos to be small, lightweight, and at the same time puncture-resistant. These properties can be optimized depending on what is required from the Tubolito,” adds the German brand.
Additionally, Tubolito says the battery in its Tubo-Road SYNCD tube will last up to 6,200 miles (10,000km) or around two years, depending on usage. However, once the battery runs out, the tube can still function as a standard inner tube.
The SYNCD system sells for €39.95, which is currently available only for Tubolito’s range of road inner tubes, while compatibility is limited to just Garmin head units.
However, Tubolito is expected to expand both compatibility and product range in the future.
