Urwahn Unveils New PLATZHIRSCH 3D Printed E-Bike

Urwahn recently earned itself a prestigious Red Dot Award for its new PLATZHIRSCH ebike, following in the footsteps of German’s brands cutting-edge approach to frame design and organic aesthetics.

The PLATZHIRSCH (which translates into “Top Dog”), features a 3D-printed frame that gains pedal assistance from a powerful 250w eBikemotion rear hub drive system that’s capable of delivering 40Nm of torque.

According to Urwahn, the PLATZHIRSCH can travel distances up to 50 miles, or even further with the optional 208W battery that’s neatly concealed within the bike’s downtube.

Additionally, the PLATZHIRSCH also has several mounting points for racks, mudguards and bottle holders, making it the perfect commuter bike.

There are also LED lights integrated into the handlebar and seatpost for added safety.

Pedaling in delivered via a low-maintenance Gates belt drive system, while a toptube mounted drive button that’s synced to a dedicated app allows for easy access to the bike’s controls.

Stopping power comes courtesy of front and rear hydraulic disc brakes.

The price of the PLATZHIRSCH is €4,499, with a €500 discount for those who pre-order.

You can learn more about the new PLATZHIRSCH by visiting Urwahn’s website.
