Vision has added a couple of new carbon cockpit pieces its Metron series for 2017.
The new additions consist of the Metron carbon stem, which features a monocoque CFD designed aero body, along with ultralight titanium hardware, making it the stiffest and lightest Vision stem available.
The body of the Metron stem is finished in matte unidirectional carbon with ghost graphics in black and gray.
According to Vision, the Metron stem weighs in at 148g, with sizes of 100mm, 110mm, 120mm and 130mm available.
Other specs include: — 31.8mm fork clamp diameter — 40mm fork clamp stack height — 31.8mm handlebar clamp diameter — +/- 6 degrees
The new Metron matte carbon seatposts are available in various setback options, ranging from 0mm, 20mm, 25mm to 32mm, along with a new aerodynamic profile that capitalizes on the current aero-bike tend.
Vision refers to the new seatposts’ head design as Carbon Arc Body, which allows the clamp section to rotate along the curved arc of the head in order to further fine tune a rider’s position.
In addition, the Shimano Di2 battery insert is now made of plastic as a means of reducing weight over the previous alloy design.
