Purists will rejoice, now that Vittoria is offering special edition handmade tubulars to celebrate the vintage L’Eroica cycling event.
“In May 2021, Dutch bicycle tyre manufacturer A. Dugast joined the Vittoria Group reinforcing its leadership in special, hand-made cotton tires. To celebrate this partnership, Vittoria and A. Dugast are pleased to present the first product born from the collaboration of the two tire makers. We have collaborated for the creation of a limited-edition cotton tubular dedicated to L’Eroica vintage cycling event and all its enthusiasts,” says Vittoria.
According to Vittoria, the 25mm special edition tubulars feature only natural materials, such as high-quality cotton, natural rubber and natural latex, thus reducing the ecological footprint of the making process, while each tire will be numbered and customized with the recipient’s initials.
“This is a hand-made all-purpose competition tubular tire using the diamond tread of the glorious Vittoria Corsa CX tubulars to provide excellent grip on both dry and wet road surfaces,” says the storied Italian brand.
The L’Eroica special edition tubulars are limited to just 59 pairs, and sell for €230.00.
