It seems like every celebrity cyclist is embracing the idea of launching a line of "after wear" in his namesake.
Nothing is different about Bradley Wiggins’ collaboration with clothing designer Fred Perry, as the Brits continue their collaboration for Fall/Winter 2014.
“Fred Perry is proud to announce its sixth season of the ongoing collaboration with Sir Bradley Wiggins for AW14. Bradley has been involved in every step of the design process and the Bradley Wiggins Collection reflects the essence of his style.
The Autumn Winter ‘14 The Bradley Wiggins collection sees both new and reworked favourites offered in vintage inspired patterns and colours. Hints to his love of 60s style can be found in slim-cut turtle knits and retro sports track jackets. The pique shirts, cut longer in the body and sleeves than the main collection shirts allude to vintage cycling jerseys.
In the collection, a mix of classic inspired colour combinations take influence from cycling jerseys and pieces from the Fred Perry archive. Regal blue and rich mahogany are paired up with ivy green and dark navy and greys in combination with checkerboard cuffs and knits. Throughout the collection the Bradley Champion Stripe plays a central role.
Key pieces for the season include the Checkerboard Cuff Cycling Shirt, the Avenue Stripe Merino Cardigan, Finish Line Cuff Track Jacket in Regal, the Chest Stripe Track Jacket and the Finish Line Cuff Cycling Shirt. The footwear has been updated with a new style, the Bradley Wiggins Chase in leather and the bags in this collection feature a checkerboard print.”
