Happy birthday to Pierino Gavazzi who was born on December 4, 1950. The Italian rider is best known for winning the Italian National Road Race Championships in 1978,’82 and ’88, as well as 4 stages in the Giro d"Italia, the Milano-Torino race and his crowning achievement – the Milan – San Remo classic in 1980.
