Every year, the British turned American bicycle brand – Raleigh, creates a limited edition cyclocross frameset to celebrate the Singlespeed Cyclocross World Championships. This year’s edition celebrates Philadelphia – as the the hometown location for the 2013 event.
This year’s bike will feature a steel, disc brake ready frame. According to Raleigh’s Brian Fornes:
“We looked at creating a new drop out to make it a dedicated SS…but ran out of time to create something new. So we stuck with our LandLord frame design. Modified the geometry, upgraded the tubing, and slimmed the drop out by using the one from our new Tamland.”
Only 50 will be made, and proceeds go directly to funding the race itself.
Suggested cut marks for turning your bike into a “pure” singlespeed, with or without a bottle opener.
The frame is made from Reynolds 525 chromoly and comes with an FSA integrated cartridge bearing headset, the fork and an eccentric bottom bracket. The rpice is $667
