Nibali Superstitious About Yellow
Vincenzo Nibali will ride into Paris today, on a special yellow Specialized bike to celebrate his victory in this year’s Tour de France.
However, leading up to today’s final stage, sources say that the Italian rider has avoided wearing anything more than the traditional maillot jeune, for fear that it might bring him bad luck.
Indeed, superstition has kept Nibali from wearing yellow shorts or other accessories, and he has even gone so far as to wear the same yellow jersey whenever possible during the race – to avoid any ill fate.
However, during today’s final stage, the champion to be – will ride a special bike bearing yellow graphics, yellow lever hoods and yellow bar tape.
