ABUS Debuts New StormChaser Helmet

Developed with input from WorldTour pro riders, ABUS is debuting its latest helmet called the StormChaser, offering roadies many of the same attributes as its top-tier Game Changer and Air Breaker helmets at a more affordable price.

The StormChaser features ABUS’ AeroFlow straps and Aero sunglass holder. The Aeroflow straps are lightweight single-layer straps with a thicker leading edge, creating an airfoil that causes them to be pressed against the side of the head at speed, reducing noise and flutter while improving the overall aerodynamics.

In the case of the sunglass port, it’s built into the back of the helmet, with the goal of further increasing airflow by storing sunglasses out of the wind when they’re not in use.

Additionally, the StormChaser ensures optimal ventilation courtesy of seven large air inlets and 16 outlets with the aim of keeping riders cool while the overall shape keeps them “aerodynamically slippery”.

Made in Italy, the StormChaser sells for $169.00, which is available in three sizes and an array of stylish colors.

Specifications:
