Adidas Launches New Adistar Cycling Apparel

Adidas has launched a new Adistar range of cycling apparel for 2015, that the brand is touting as “the most aerodynamic race fit possible”.

Indeed, the Adistar range places a strong focus on aerodynamics, wherein some of the most advanced materials have been used to create the “aero” effect for the performance minded cyclist.

“A riders aerodynamic requirements are all perfectly met in adistar products,” says the company.

For example, both the Adistar short and long sleeve jerseys are made using DragZero Fabric, with a covered main zipper and strategically placed seams to reduce drag. In addition, TrailingEdge Hems have also been used, in order to reduce vortices, as wells LeadingEdge sleeves to further smooth airflow.

In the case of the bib shorts, they also incorporate some of the technology from the jerseys. However, Adidas has added Carvico Revolutional Enery fabric to their material make-up, which gives the bibs compression qualities, along with an Elastic Interfaced padded insert – for optimal comfort.

In addition, Adidas has added the lightweight, water-resistant, packable Pluvius jacket to the range as well. Similarly, the Pluvius incorporates LeadingEdge sleeves, along with double front zippers, rear storm flaps – to provide easy ventilation. Reflective material has also been added, to provide 360 degree visibility.

No word on availability for us “yanks’ here in the USA, but the full range can be seen on Adidas’ website in the UK.
