Basso Bikes has introduced a new women’s specific label, called Purple, which reprises the Italian brand’s Venta road bike, along with a matching kit.

Just like its more expensive siblings, the Diamante and Astra, the Venta carries over Basso’s “Alu Free” design, meaning there is no aluminum in the bearing holders (bottom bracket and head tube area). In addition, the Venta also features all of the latest frame design trappings, such as internal cable routing that’s capatible with both mechanical and electronic groupsets, as well as a conical shaped head tube with a tapered 1-1/8” to 1.5” full carbon fork and oversized bottom bracket.

The Purple Venta is available in six sizes. ranging from 48 to 61, which features a relaxed geometry more conducive to the physiological make-up of women riders.

more from Basso …

Brand new introduction to our line. For all those of you who have followed the Basso history this name is not new: in 1999 Venta was a road racing model with very innovative shapes. The new Venta is a bike everyone would like to have. From the pro racer to the Sunday amateur!

Featuring 6 available sizes (from 48 to 61) and three brand new color ways. Tubing shape and frame shape in general come from a very accurate design study. We wanted to create a bike with a very fresh look but keeping an “easy” and classical geometry. As Diamante and Astra this brand new frame is “Alu Free” meaning there is no aluminum in the bearing holders ( bottom bracket and head tube area).Internal cable routing, Di2 or Eps compatible, conical shaped head tube and full carbon fork are some of the features that make this frame a great one.
