BH has upped its ante in the gravel segment by launching two new bikes under the banner GravelX EVO.
The range consists of two models, the GravelX EVO 3.0 and GravelX EVO 3.5, which both feature the same Hollow Core Internal Molding technology found on the Spanish brand’s flagship road and MTB frames that comprises a mix of high modulus T800 and T500 carbon to ensure optimal weight to stiffness necessary for gravel grinding duties.
Other features that highlight the two models are BH’s BB386 EVO bottom bracket standard, a 1.5″ full carbon tapered steerer, a 27.2mm seatpost, flat mount hydraulic disc brakes (140mm rear and 160mm front), 12mm thru-axles with hidden levers, internal cable routing for both 1x and 2x mechanical or electronic drivetrains, a Di2 battery mount inside the seatpost and control box storage located in the bar end – adding up to enough clearance for massive 42mm tires.
Additionally, for the bikepacker, BH was keen to add mounts for front and rear panniers, two more bottle mounts along the downtube and provisions for a toptube fuel bag and another bottle cage mount under the bottom bracket. There are also eyelets for the addition of front and rear fenders.
The 2800€ GravelX EVO 3.0 comes equipped with a mechanical version of Shimano’s new GRX 2×11 groupset, along with 50/34 chainrings on an FSA crankset, an 11-32 cassette and Shimano RS170 aluminum wheels.
The GravelX EVO 3.5 gets a 1x Di2 GRX drivetrain, a 40T chainring and an FSA Omega crankset paired with an 11-42 cassette, along with a Shimano tubeless RS370 aluminum wheelset for 3700€.
