BH Ultralight EVO Road Bike Gains Disc Brakes for 2018

BH’s flagship road bike, the Ultralight EVO, gains disc brakes for 2018.

The Ultralight EVO Disc retains the same Hollow Core Internal Molding design and construction that made its caliper brake sibling a marvel amongst the lightest frames on the market. For next year however, the Ultralight EVO Disc receives slightly reshaped tubes, along with a revised carbon lay-up process, in order accommodate the forces imparted by its new 140/160 MM hydraulic, flat-mounted disc brakes and 12mm thru-axles.

The Ultralight EVO Disc is further punctuated by BH’s innovative, internal cable guide system, which can accommodate either electronic or mechanical groupsets, yielding a clean appearance while ensuring maximum cable protection and ease of replacement.

Additionally, as one would expect, the new Ultralight EVO Disc can accommodate wider tires as well, now allowing the use of up to 30mm.

The Ultralight EVO Disc will be available in three builds, the range topping Shimano Dura Ace Di2, Ultegra Di2 and mechanical Ultregra, with cranksets coming from FSA and ROTOR and “hoops” from Vision, BH’s own EVO brand and Shimano.

For us yanks however, only the Ultegra Di2 equipped bike will be available. But it will feature the full Shimano groupset, along with upgraded DT Swiss PR 1400 Dicut wheels.
