BRIDGE Bike Works Debuts New Surveyor Carbon Bike

One of Canada’s only carbon fiber bicycle manufacturers, BRIDGE Bike Works, has opened its new manufacturing facility in Toronto, debuting its first handbuilt all-road model called the Surveyor.

Co-founded by Frank Gairdner and Michael Yakubowicz, BRIDGE has been almost three years in the making and is now opening their manufacturing facility and launching its first bike.

The Surveyor is a handbuilt carbon “all-road N+1 killer”, featuring the agility and performance of a road bike with the tire clearance and comfort of a gravel bike.

BRIDGE’s goal is to build performance-oriented carbon bicycles in North America, combining the attention to detail of bespoke builders with the engineering and manufacturing prowess of bigger bike brands.

Already featuring a team of world-class engineers, composites experts and designers, BRIDGE is a brand built on the foundation of its people, and focused on the pursuit of excellence in creating a bike that rivals the world’s best.

BRIDGE has had a successful pre-sales campaign and has built a strong local network of ambassadors and a growing selection of international customers and dealers. The wider public order queue is now open and delivery is slated to commence in August, with new orders shipping this Fall for the next 100 customers.

Interested parties can head to BRDIGE’s online build configurator featuring top-tier component partners, including Shimano, SRAM, ENVE, Fizik, Lightweight, Black Inc. and PRO.

“BRIDGE is one of the only carbon bike brands made in Canada,” said Frank Gairdner.

“The biggest benefit of making your own bikes is that you can control every element of the process, from tooling and layup to total quality control. Our carbon framesets are for cyclists who demand the quality that locally made requires. Authentic full cycle means design, engineering, production, and community, all under one roof,” he adds.

BRIDGE is aiming to stand out from the crowd with a thoroughly modern customer-centric focus, uncompromising performance, classic details, and a lifetime warranty on all of its products.

BRIDGE is also committed to building premium products at a reasonable price, with frameset MSRP of $5,000 CAD or $4,000 USD for frame, fork, thru-axles, headset, plus our own custom seat collar and front derailleur clamp.

  • Complete bike builds starting around $8,000 CAD or $6,250 USD.
  • Bikes available for delivery by fall of 2022. BRIDGE will also have up to 20 premium international dealers in 2022.
