Casio Launches New GSW-H1000 G-SQUAD PRO Smartwatch Powered by Google Wear OS

Casio has launched its latest GSW-H1000 smartwatch powered by Google Wear OS, the newest addition to the brand’s G-SQUAD line of shock-resistant G-SHOCK watches

The GSW-H1000 features both shock resistance and 200-meter water resistance, along with a wide range of athletic settings that include cycling, running, indoor workouts and swimming, to more extreme pursuits like surfing and snowboarding.

The GSW-H1000 has an optical sensor that can measure heart rate, along with a compass, altitude/air pressure sensor, accelerometer, gyrometer, GPS functionality and more, enabling the watch to capture data such as distance, speed and pace. Moreover, there’s a dual-layer monochrome and color display that features a three-tier layout, allowing users to customize settings in order to give multiple data points of reference.

The design of the GSW-H1000 also promises excellent wearability thanks to its soft, flexible urethane band, while the titanium case back and titanium carbide finish ensure excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance.

As mentioned, the GSW-H1000 comes loaded with a variety of Google apps and services, wherein users can get help from Google Assistant and track important activity metrics with Google Fit. They can also choose from thousands of apps available on Google Play and access important information at a glance, like messages and phone calls, notifications, agenda, weather forecast and more.

Additionally, an all-new Sensor Overlay function allows users to combine video and still images of their activities with data captured by the watch in order to create layered visual media to share on social media.

The new GSW-H1000 is available for pre-order for $699.
