De Rosa Unveils SK Pininfarina Roadbike at Eurobike

One of the biggest showstoppers at this week’s Eurobike, was the unveiling of De Rosa’s SK Pininfarina roadbike.

The SK is the result of the two Italian marques, De Rosa and Pininfarina, joining forces, to create what’s being billed as “the perfect synthesis of style and performance”.

Using what De Rosa calls its “inner mold tooling system”, the SK is fabricated through the use of 3D printing technology, along with a special resin, to yield this bold execution of shapes and profiles – resulting in what the brand is hailing as the “ultimate blend of stiffness and low weight”.

Other notorious features that punctuate the SK, are internal cable routing, a 1 1/8″ to 1 1/4″ tapered head tube and direct mount brakes.

The bike on display, feature a custom set of deep section Vision Metron 81 wheels, along with FSA’s Plasma integrated bar and stem combo, and an aerodynamic seatpost.

According to De Rosa, the SK Pininfarina will be available in a range of high end build options, along with a choice of color in – black, blue and black, red and black, and black and red.

There’s no official word on pricing as of yet, but it’s probably fair to say, one best be prepared to lay down some serious lira on this one.  😉
