Hunt and Qvist Partner on Limited Edition 40 Limitless Gravel Wheelset

Hunt has partnered with Qvist on a limited edition wheelset, featuring the boutique British brand’s 40 Limitless Gravel wheels that spin on the equally boutique German company’s double-ratchet DUO hubs with 120-points of engagement.

“Being able to work with Hunt on a limited edition wheel set is really an honor for us at Qvist. Since we met several years ago, we worked already together on a few different things. The co-branded limited wheel set is the first highlight of what we hope will be an even more fruitful collaboration. We complement each other really well – Hunt’s focus on their leading aerodynamics and our engineering know-how for bicycle hubs. Together, this results in an incredibly strong gravel wheel set that glides responsively and quickly through paved and unpaved terrain,” says Roman Elsner, Qvist founder.

“Our relationship with Qvist began at Eurobike 2022, where I first met Roman and his team during the launch of their innovative double ratchet freehub mechanism. Their engineering approach immediately stood out, and it quickly became clear that we shared the same drive for pushing performance forward. Roman didn’t just help lay the groundwork for a great technical collaboration—he was also instrumental in introducing us to Dresden, a city that now proudly hosts our European office. It’s been a natural and exciting partnership from the very beginning,” adds Tom Marchment, Hunt co-founder.

Elsewhere, the limited edition wheels feature Hunt’s raw carbon rims and Pillar Wing 20 that are laced in a 24 front and 28 rear pattern, while the Qvist hubs have been treated to a special Dark Graphite anodized finish with a Hunt x Qvist X/40 laser etched logo.

Limited to just 40 (thus the X/40) pairs, the wheelset fetches $2,000, which are available with Shimano HG, Microspline and SRAM XDR freehub bodies.
