Race organizers have added three new climbs to this year’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège, which include the Côte de Pont, Côte de Bellevaux and the Côte de la Ferme Libert – replacing the Côte de Wanne and the Côte de la Haute-Levée.
Organizers have also introduced a women’s version of the race for the first time, bringing gender equality to all three Ardennes Classics now that the Amstel Gold Race has revitalized its women’s version after a 14-year absence.
As a result, Liège-Bastogne-Liège will take up a spot on this year’s UCI Women’s WorldTour calendar, with riders tackling a 135.5 kilometer route starting in Bastogne, with the final 45 kilometers taking place along the same route as the men’s race, and concluding with an ascent of the iconic Côte de la Redoute.
The women’s Liège-Bastogne-Liège will take place on April 23, the same day as the men’s race.
