Life Time Launches New Docuseries that Chronicles Its 2022 Grand Prix Series of Races

Call of a Life Time docuseries offers a truly unique, behind-the-scenes look into the off-road cycling world and the characters at play.

Featuring three gravel and three mountain biking events that are owned and produced by Life Time and make up the Grand Prix, Call of a Life Time explores the intense competition that exists in the United States among 60 of the world’s elite cyclists.

Each episode will expose their highs, lows, drama, self doubt, turmoil and accomplishments, and what it took emotionally and physically for them to perform at the highest level over the grueling, seven-month-long 2022 race season.

Episode 1: Sea Otter Classic

The world’s best off-road cyclists kick off their career-defining journey at the newest series in off-road cycling: the inaugural Life Time Grand Prix presented by Mazda. Watch the deep men’s and women’s fields throw down and battle through crashes, injuries and expectations to set themselves apart early at Stop #1 of 6: the Fuego 80K at the Life Time Sea Otter Classic presented by Continental.

Episode 2: UNBOUND Gravel

The Life Time Grand Prix riders pedal to Gravel City, U.S.A. (Emporia, Kansas) for the second and most intimidating stop of the series: Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear. Sickness, equipment controversies and unpredictable weather threaten to steal the athletes’ focus as they test their endurance and grit at the world’s premier gravel event: 200 grueling miles of tire-shredding, mud-soaked Kansas gravel.

Episode 3: Crusher In The Tushar

The riders fight mental and physical fatigue as they hit the halfway point of the inaugural Life Time Grand Prix in Beaver, Utah, at Crusher in the Tushar presented by The Creamery. As riders like Sarah Sturm and Haley Hunter Smith try to climb the Grand Prix standings, UNBOUND Gravel winner Sofia Gomez Villafane looks to defend her Crusher title across 10,000 feet of brutal climbing in the stifling July heat — a.k.a. “the toughest 69.9 miles on the planet.”

Episode 4: Leadville Trail 100 MTB

Starting at 10,000-plus feet of elevation, immersed in the magic of the Colorado Rockies, the Grand Prix cyclists elevate their game to Race Across the Sky at Stop #4 of 6: the Stages Cycling Leadville Trail 100 MTB in Leadville, Colorado. After winning each of the first three races, Leadville favorite Keegan Swenson looks to continue his series dominance at this iconic mountain bike race — but the men’s field isn’t here to play.

Episode 5: Chequamegon MTB Festival

The penultimate event of the inaugural Life Time Grand Prix transports the men’s and women’s fields to the Big Woods of Wisconsin for the oldest and longest-running mountain bike race in the country: the Chequamegon MTB Festival presented by Trek. Emotions run high and injuries hit hard as the riders navigate the forest roads and snowmobile trails of this unique, 40-mile event — many, for the very first time.

Episode 6: Big Sugar

All roads lead to Bentonville, Arkansas, for the sixth and final stop of the 2022 Life Time Grand Prix: Life Time Big Sugar Gravel presented by Mazda. With one last shot to climb the standings and claim their share of the $250,000 prize purse, the world’s top cyclists leave it all on the course and wrap up the cycling season with an epic battle to the finish.
