LORE Revamps Its LoreOne 3D-Printed Cycling Shoe with New Retention System

LORE has revamped its futuristic 3D-printed LoreOne cycling shoe with an updated retention system, bringing the already princely sum of the shoe up to a staggering $1,969.

Comprising the same 3D-printed CarbonAirFrame, the LoreOne now features two BOA-style dials and a voile-like strap to secure and tension the clamshell exoskeleton.

Like the previous design, the latest iteration relies on LORE’s patent-pending Morphic 3D Scan+Print tech, wherein clients scan their own feet via an iPhone app, creating a virtual model that in turn can be robotically 3D-printed to make the shoes at the company’s southern California facility.

Also, the LoreOne is still offered in both 3-bolt and 4-bolt cleat compatibility.

While tipping the scales at 315 grams won’t win the LoreOne any plaudits from the weight weenies crowd, the design is all about stiffness, power transfer, and of course, fit.

Additionally, LORE still offers its tailor-made AeroCover is three versions; waterproof, aerodynamic and insulted, but with the added cost of $90.

Still deterred by cost?

Good news, as the LoreOne can be had in four interest-free payments.
