Orbea Updates Terra Gravel Bike

Now in its third generation, Orbea has updated its Terra gravel bike, treating it to more tire clearance, a standard 27.2 seat tube that can now accommodate a dropper seat post, its Locker XXL down tube storage compartment and mounting points galore, while the upgrade to the Spanish brand’s more premium OMX carbon sheds some 90 grams of weight compared to its predecessor.

“The new Terra is built for those who crave adventure—on race day or deep in the unknown. Whether your goal is a gravel race podium or an all-day ride into uncharted backroads, Terra is your trusted companion. With a vibration-damping carbon frame, generous tire clearance, and smart, integrated storage solutions, Terra is ready to go anywhere and do everything,” says Orbea.

Elsewhere, the Terra sees the addition of Orbea’s new HB-GR10 carbon handlebar, which features 70mm of reach, 120mm of drop and a 12-degree flare across sizes 38, 40, 42 and 44 cm, while the new gravel grinder also gets a UDH rear dropout.

Additionally, the geometry has also been tweaked by extending the reach 10mm across all sizes, while the stack height has also been increased by 20mm across all sizes. Also, in order to accommodate tires up to 50mm, the wheelbase has been pushed out by 10mm across all sizes as well.

Orbea also increased the fork trail by 20mm across the board too, however, each size gets a specific rake. Ditto for the chain stays, which have been lengthened by 10mm, resulting in what Orbea says is a more “planted” feel.

Lastly, the Terra is available in three striking new colors, Acid Gum, Fantasy Purple – Carbon View, Nickel – Met Cinnamon and Caramel – Carbon View.

However, for customers wanting to up the styling quotient, Orbea also offers its MyO customization so they can create their own paint scheme.

The new Terra is offered in a number of complete builds, with the entry-level model coming equipped with a choice of either a 1X or 2X Shimano GRX drivetrain for $2,999.99, all the way up to the range-topping M21eTeam that’s fitted with the latest SRAM Force XPLR AXS 13-speed drivetrain that spins on the brand’s in-house OQUO carbon wheels for $6,299.99.
