For cyclists who think having sartorial bliss off the bike is just as important as on it, Rapha has launched a new collection of apparel called Pro Team Transfer.
The new collection comprises men’s and women’s hoodie sweatshirts, sweatpants and shorts made from soft, waffled cotton/polyamide fabric, ideally suited for post-ride comfort.
“Super soft next to the skin, the fabric’s variation of textures means it sits away from the body and improves airflow,” says Rapha.
“The main fabric boasts excellent mechanical stretch which, together with shaped seams under the arms and a slightly different texture on the side panels, allows for complete freedom of movement.”
The Pro Team Transfer sweatpants feature a broad elastic waistband, drawcord waist, two side pockets and a rear zipper pocket that sell for $165, while the hoodie sweatshirts and shorts fetch $165 and $135 respectively.
There’s also a limited edition range that features similar garments, but incorporates loose-fit yarn that’s knitted together with two cotton face fabrics and a merino wool lining.
“Designed in collaboration with Amsterdam textile innovation studio Byborre, our Limited Edition Transfer collection takes rest and recovery to the next level,” says Rapha.
“We’ve used the most advanced fabric technology to create comfortable, breathable and insulating panels with all the hallmarks of a signature Byborre engineered knit and added our own fitting expertise to create a collection ideally suited to the needs of cyclists.”
The hoodie sweatshirts sell for a whopping $540, while the sweatpants, shorts and long-sleeve shirt sell for $410, $345 and $265.
Holy Brexit!
