Happy birthday to Rudy Pevenage, who was born on this day in 1954.
Nicknamed, De Rosse Van Moerbeke, the Belgian rider is best known for winning the Points Jersey in the 1980 Tour de France, after wearing the yellow jersey for nine days.
In addition, Pevenage also finished 2nd in the 1979 Tour de Suisse, along with numerous victories of lesser known races throughout Belgium.
