Suplest Unveils New Edge+ Road Pro Cycling Shoe

Suplest has unveiled its newest flagship road shoe called the Edge+ Road Pro, saying it’s “designed for high velocity and meets the demands of the world’s best racers.”

The Edge+ Road Pro features an updated version of Suplest’s Anatomic Wrap construction, complete with a revised asymmetrical tongue that’s reinforced by the brand’s Carbonshield technology, aimed at distributing pressure more evenly across the top of the foot.

More ventilation is achieved thanks to laser cut perforations along the new micro fiber upper, while retention comes courtesy of updated dual Boa IP-1 dials for a precise fit.

Additionally, the Edge+ Road Pro also gets Suplest’s updated uni-directional Ergo 360° carbon sole, which now features a foam-filled hollow core, resulting in a claimed 11% increase in stiffness. There are also larger, rubberized toe and heel blocks for better grip and improved walking when off the bike.

Not surprisingly, weight is also down on the new Edge+ Road Pro, which Suplest claims tips the scales at a feathery 234g in a size 42.

The Edge+ Road Pro sells for €359.00, and it’s available in a range of sizes from 39 to 47, with half-sizes in 42.5, 43.5 and 44..5, as well as three colors: white, black and black with red accents.

For those who want to jazz things up a bit, there’s a limited edition Fabian Cancellara version in gold that will available in March.

Lastly, like all Suplest shoes, the Edge+ Road Pro comes with a pair of Solestar premium insoles.
