To the delight of gravel cyclists and bikepackers alike, Tailfin is offering a new range of top tube packs that span three different sizes, along with two closure systems that are aimed at providing optimal storage and ergonomics when hitting the great expanse.
The range comprises three zip models that offer 0.8, 1.1 and 1.5-liters of storage, while a magnetic, flip-lip design is available in the 1.1 or 1.5-liter versions.
Relying on a unique V-Mount set-up, Tailfin says the new packs are designed to eliminate rub thanks to rubber pads that buffer the frame, while TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) straps are used to keep them in place, thus eliminating the need for a steerer tube strap.
Additionally, the packs can also be bolted directly onto frames that feature cage mounts on the top tube, a feature that’s found on many of the latest gravel bikes. Moreover, no additional hardware is needed, as the packs are easily attached to the V-Mount via a bolt-through design.
Ergonomics also played an important role when developing the packs, which Tailfin says they conducted extensive research and body mapping in order to combat knee rub courtesy of size-specific packs that incorporate three-dimensional tapering.
Lastly, the packs feature a welded, ripstop nylon construction, along with waterproof zippers in order to keep the elements out.
