Van Rysel Flaunts New RCR Cycling Shoe

Known mainly for its upscale bikes, Van Rysel is flaunting its first entry into the cycling shoe segment with a road specific model that sells for a not-so upscale price.

Dubbed the RCR, Van Rysel says they worked closely with the AG2R team over the last few months to develop the shoe, which features a full-carbon outsole that boasts a 12 out of 12 rigidity rating, along with a reinforced mesh upper and an asymmetric tensioning system that relies on textile straps instead of plastic lace guides in order to eliminate pressure points, while the closure system is handled by two Habu micro-adjustable dials.

All in, Van Rysel says the RCR tips the scales at an impressive 290 grams per shoe in a size 9.

The RCR is available in white and black, with sizes ranging from 36 to 47 for a paltry £149.99.
