Volvo Relaunches “Life Paint”

While us yanks have once again been left in the dark, Volvo has decided to relaunch its successful Life Paint in the UK.

No worries, we’re still better cyclists and cooks.

Life Paint first appeared on scene two years ago, as a special water-based reflective paint that was developed by the Swedish auto maker,  specifically to help improve the visibility of cyclists amidst the backdrop of the motoring landscape.

As previously reported, Life Paint can be applied to virtuality any surface, to include cycling apparel, gear and bikes themselves, which according to Volvo will last up a week.

From there, cyclists can reapply the product or simple wash it off.

Volvo’s managing director, Jon Wakefield, said: “LifePaint is another example of Volvo’s human-centric approach to safety.

He added: “Not only are we a world leader in safety technology for our cars, by offering this innovative spray online, we’re helping to protect more people on our roads than ever – whether they drive a Volvo or not.”

Volvo says…

Life Paint is a reflective safety spray. It is invisible by daylight, yet is astonishingly light-reflective in the dark. Designed to react to a vehicle’s headlights, the spray reflects light in the same direction as the light source – shining brightly and alerting drivers to your presence.

Life Paint washes off, and will not affect the colour or surface of your chosen material. It will last for approximately one week after application, depending on what surface you spray it onto and how much you apply.
