Garmin Introduces ‘Connect Insights’ Smart Coaching

    

Garmin recently announced, the introduction of its new Connect Insights app, which can provide wellness insights to help Garmin Connect users achieve their goals.

According to Garmin, their new Connect Insights can provide cues to help users reach health and wellness goals and shout-outs when milestones have been met. In addition, the smart insights also provide relevant healthy tips from experts and show users how they are doing in comparison to people like them for extra motivation.

“We’re excited to introduce Garmin Connect Insights to support, motivate, and connect with our users more than ever,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales. “Insights enhances users’ experience tracking and analyzing data with personalized recommendations and motivation specifically for them.”

Additionally, Garmin’s Connect Insights can “personalized recommendations”, by motivating users based on their Garmin Connect data. For example, Connect Insights can provide data with regard to sleep analysis and goal prediction, which feature an analysis of users’ daily step trends, predicted step total and cues reminding them to get up and move if they aren’t on track to meet their daily step goal.

Connect Insights also features suggested supporting videos or news articles to provide users with smart coaching, and congratulatory messages when milestones are reached, providing a virtual high-five to users for extra encouragement to beat yesterday in their pursuit of fitness goals.

Utilizing data collected from the Garmin Connect community for over a decade, Connect Insights is now able to show users how their data stacks up against the average person based on their age and gender. Currently, Connect Insights includes benchmarks for step totals with more comparative data coming soon.

Garmin says, Connect Insights will be available this month, with additional wellness features rolling out through 2016.
